To anyone looking to rebut anything I write, or just looking to express an opinion either way, please feel free to post a comment.
However, I didn’t start this site to run a discussion forum, so I reserve the right to approve or disapprove any comments that are made in regards to all posts for a number of reasons.
I’m a proponent of free speech, and I’ll argue for your right to say whatever you like; however, I don’t have to provide you with a forum to do so. If you wish to leave a comment, The Independent welcomes it. If they get ridiculous or highly inappropriate, I will refuse to post them. If you are looking to spew bigotry, ignorance, hatred and all around repugnancy, there are other Web sites for that type of bullshit and I’m not going to allow The Independent to devolve into some orgy of juvenile insults and ugliness — I can do that on my own.
The Independent was started as a way to voice my opinions on local issues, and matters regarding Clinton, if you don’t like my opinions feel free to stop reading any time you like. Just like I’ll choose whether or not to allow your comments to be posted. I am provided with the IP Address of each poster so you can be tracked down like the swine you are if you choose to abuse this privledge.

Patrick!
Great bumping into you yesterday - all the best of the H0liday Season.
I spent some time looking around and reading through some of the blog postings. How refreshing to see this type of forum being used to promote people’s opinions.
As I mentioned to you yesterday, I have been using WordPress software on my server for several years now to run blogs for my classes at the High School. Students and parents seem to enjoy the connectivity “after class” so to speak.
Congrats on a great site - I will come back often to read the entries. It’s been MANY years since I moved from Clinton but, Clinton will ALWAYS be home!
